The 2023 growing season was marked by a cool start, which resulted in a delayed bud break across the Columbia Valley. In contrast, a warm May led to a slightly advanced bloom. Normal summer heat and an absence of any major temperature events allowed the fruit to develop at a steady pace. The yield from the 2023 harvest, while significantly smaller than previous years, is of exceptionally high quality. Apple and pear on the nose marry with aromas of vanilla and toast from the wine’s time in oak vessels. A rich, well-balanced palate boasts flavors of apple pie, lemon curd and cream.
