God Lives: The Resurgence of Theism and the Failure of Naturalism

In his story of the madman, Friedrich Nietzsche famously declares that God is dead. But the hearers of the madman, though accepting his declaration casually, do not understand his distress. In response, he says, they have not yet heard the report of what has happened. The crowd had not understood the significance of the event. Likewise, today, at the level of the crowd, including the rich, powerful and educated, “the mighty of the earth,” people do not yet know what has happened. In the highest levels of intellectual, philosophical and scientific understanding, God is not dead, but indeed, has risen. This is the report that has not yet been heard. Read more
